Astro-logical Forecast for Monday 11/17/2014: Life Lessons & Sneak Peek At The Week

Good Morning!

Whatever twist or detour you experience as you start the work week is coinciding with a void-of-course Moon in Virgo from 6:11AM ET until 2:30PM ET. If you wander into the office a bit late, or you notice a certain lack of focus in meetings, that’s a reflection of the wandering energy of a Moon void. Focus on routine matters and organizing your to-do list and your desk. You should notice a decided shift in the energy of the day once the Moon enters Libra at 2:30PM ET.

While aspects to the Moon are pleasantly social for the rest of the day, there’s a serious, somber flavor to the already fixed and controlling vibe of the Scorpio Sun. And this would be the Sun’s annual hook-up with Saturn, the taskmaster and karma cop of the cosmos. Watch the headlines for heavy news. You’ll feel it more personally if you have a planet or angle at around 27 degrees of Scorpio, Leo, Aquarius and Taurus. If you have a planet or angle around 29 degrees of those signs, consider booking a consultation to discuss it, because you’ll be feeling a need for extraordinary discipline and effort in December and for most of next summer. President Obama, here’s how you can contact me.

After the heaviness of the Sun and Saturn on Tuesday, we’ll have a lighter respite on Thursday, suggested by Venus (art, money, women, social expression), now in high-flying, foot-in-mouth Sagittarius, challenged by dreamy Neptune. Break out the rose-colored glasses and jot down your vision for the next lunar cycle, when begins on Saturday at 7:32AM ET with the New Moon in Sagittarius.

Your Moon voids for the week, other than today are: Wednesday from 9:25AM until 12:31AM ET on Thursday, so ship it before or after Wednesday if it’s something you wish to be of consequence. Otherwise, chill — roll with the twists and flakes — and don’t make mountains of crises out of molehills.

Tonight, if the skies are clear, look up and see if you can catch a falling star when the Leonids meteor showers peak.

And now, the news.

Much of it is heavy, suggested by current planetary patterns. This piece is serious, but thought-provoking: “Welcome to the Failure Age!” In it you’ll find shades of Saturn (fear), Uranus (innovation and disruption) and Pluto (corporations), along with some visionary (Neptune) ideas about where we might be headed as a society on the brink of a paradigm shift. No, it’s not all doom and gloom. Meanwhile, I found a truly fantastic and inspired report with an equally provocative title: “The Dutch Village Where Everyone Has Dementia”. It’s an epic example of how empowering humans can be when expressing empathy, creativity and kindness. And all of society benefits as a result.

Finally, I am still looking to barter in exchange for a projector. Something that does what this thingmajig does so I can project horoscopes on a screen or a wall so everyone in a classroom or a workshop can see them. Now I could just go out and buy one, but a friend of mine who happens to be a professional spiritual teacher challenged me to offer a barter. So there must be a spiritual lesson in this process, for sure.

So far, one gentleman in an online community of advertising professionals offered to sell me his old projector for a modest price, but could not resist letting me know that his horoscope that day had advised him not to do a trade deal. Because mocking a prospective buyer’s line of work is such an effective sales technique, y’know? Next!

One woman in another online community  said what a coincidence it was that I was looking for a projector, because she was just going to post a practically brand-new one for just $100! A tempting offer, but remember, I’ve been challenged to barter. So I suggested she post her projector in our mutual online community, and let prospective buyers know that they could buy the projector for $100 from her and then trade it for an astro-logical consultation if they would rather have that. Such a deal, right? And a win-win-win for three separate parties! She writes back, “That’s a very creative idea, but I’m really not interested in pursuing it”.

This reply surprised me, because I am fairly certain she’s not a member of Congress (I can say that because I’m not trying to sell a congresswoman anything). I am also certain that I would never want to have her as a scene partner in an improv class, where the cardinal rule for building a successful scene is, “Yes, AND.” Which is actually a cardinal rule for building anything successful in life, as I’ve mentioned here before…but let Tina Fey give you her take on why this “Yes, AND” rule is so liberating, empowering and effective. Try it and you’ll love it.

So I’m still looking for a projector.  But not just any projector from just anybody. I’m looking for a most excellent projector which someone who is most excellent, authentic, creative, smart and respectful of astrology would like to exchange for a number TBD of astro-logical consultations. Going once…going twice…

Thank you for reading this forecast.
