"... an incredibly insightful and delightful astrologer! We met for a an Essential Consultation with a Lifeline review and it was so worth it! Astro-logical Forecast for Friday 2/8/2013: Big Fat Fun!

Another slow start or twist in your morning routine is suggested, given that the Moon is void-of-course and won’t fully engage until it enters Aquarius at 2:17PM ET. If you’re in New England, the flake factor is even higher, as we anticipate a potentially monstrous winter storm. Flights and trains are already being cancelled; people are being encouraged to stay home.  Snow day — no problem!  We are at the end of the lunar cycle anyway — time to wrap up initiatives begun at the New Moon and think about your agenda for the New Moon on Sunday at 2:20 AM ET.

About this storm — will it really be monstrous? Well, let’s see…we have a majority of planets in Air and Water signs; plus expansive Jupiter (in airy Gemini) is challenging energetic Mars, mental Mercury and nebulous Neptune (all in watery Pisces). That sounds like a big, wet, windy mess to me. Enjoy!

If you’re not facing a major winter storm, your sensory overload may arrive in the form of overblown ideas and communications. Emotional debates? Promising — or spending — more than you can deliver? Physical energies are also high this weekend, and those will be looking for an indulgence and release. Wretched excess aside, aspects look good for a convivial weekend spent with friends — and there will likely be no shortage of things to do or talk about.

I will post a forecast for Sunday’s New Moon later. Meanwhile, if you’re still looking for the perfect Valentines’ Day gift for your sweetie or yourself, please consider these two fabulous consultation specials — available through February.

Astro-logical Forecast for 2/14/2012: Day of Wine and Roses

Interesting mix today. Note your dreams this morning as we process the inspiring and/or delusional potential of nebulous Neptune’s hookup with mental Mercury at 1:48AM ET. Despite a probable desire for emotional depth and control in the early AM, when the Moon goes void (with a sigh) in moody Scorpio from 12:04PM to 7:56PM ET, you may be subjected to a few twists, flakes and/or space cadets.  If you’re intending to send flowers to your Valentine — or anything else that needs to move in a straight line — be advised there is a higher probability of delivery snafus during v/c Moons.

The Moon void is launched by a challenging square from the Sun, bringing up issues regarding the intentions you set at the beginning of the lunar cycle, which you can mull over throughout most of the day. The lunar vibe lightens at 7:56PM ET, when Moon moves into Sagittarius, seeking adventure — still with a rosy glow.  A foreign film, restaurant or outdoor stroll on this Valentines Day would fit the bill. The inspiring and/or delusional haze so helpful in romance will likely linger,  courtesy of a challenge between Moon and Neptune. One caveat: be advised we are also operating under the influence of a challenge between ruthless Pluto (resources, news from underground and other things that run deep) and Venus (women, money, beauty). Could be juicy and deep — or impulsively witchy-bitchy.

One other caveat: Mars is still running wild in perfectionist Virgo and it is retrograde. Remember that if you’re feeling frustrated because things aren’t moving at a fast enough pace — or if you sense others feeling that way. I’ve gotten a few queries from readers wondering what the tension they are sensing is all about. Part of it is retrograde Mars — people often fight the need to slow down and develop a new game plan at this time, sort of like that  “Halftime in America” Super Bowl spot http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_PE5V4Uzobc  Note that it’s a new game plan; the other tension being felt is the approach of the first of a series of seven exact challenges between ruthless Pluto in “corporations & governments” Capricorn and rebel Uranus in “me-me-me” Aries. This first square happens on June 24th and it will take few years to hit all seven. This series of squares is all about change. When Uranus and Pluto challenge each other, it clears the way for new structures and forms. You’ll feel it more personally this year if you’ve got planets or points in the early degrees of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn — or if you live in a country with those degrees highlighted in your country’s horoscope.

To writers, artists, healers — and others whose craft depends on inspirational channels that may take tangible form — make the most of this week. With Mercury and Neptune pulling focus, you could come up with something sublime.

Astro-logical Forecast for Monday 2/14/2011

And a Happy St. Valentine’s Day to you — such as it is. The sign of Aquarius, in which the Sun now sits (in Western astrology), is frankly more about friendship and broad humanitarian concerns than the hearts and flowers of romantic love; if I had my druthers I’d move this holiday to May or August, when the Sun is in Taurus or Leo. Still, when it comes to romance, the planetary patterns for the today could be worse.

Moon in Cancer as of 12:49AM EST suggests emotional security, nurturing and the comforts of home may be what suits our fancy, and expansive displays may manifest as you wake up this morning.  Indulgences — of moods, feelings and senses — possibly recalling tensions and/or releases experienced last Tuesday and Wednesday can also color the day. Passion…with a string attached, perhaps?

Working in contrast to the potential for today’s emotional indulgence is a sober, streamlined, practical and efficient connection between Mercury (mind, communication) and Saturn  (structure, control), which can be handy if you’re hammering out a deal memo or other outline for a project. It’s not the most romantic connection for Mercury, certainly when it comes to writing love poems and mushy ballads. On the other hand, whatever words are uttered will likely carry gravitas. Odds are strong that If they say they love you, they mean it — and that should make you feel emotionally secure : )
