Monday 9/23/2019: Autumnal Equinox; Sun Enters Libra; Sneak Peek at the Week

Happy Autumnal Equinox…a perfect balance between day and night. At 3:51 AM ET, the Sun left Virgo and entered Libra, sign of the scales.

Libra is an airy, mental sign, generally concerned with relationships, social graces and with promoting fairness, justice and balance. Its ruling planet is Venus, which can be oh-so-sweet and socially gracious. Libra’s mantra is : I BALANCE. This does not mean Librans are balanced; it means they generally are seeking balance and are quite capable of swinging back and forth wildly as they search for it.

Did you know that Fox News (motto: “fair and balanced”) launched under a Libra Sun? If you’re now thinking “wow, there must be a lot more to a horoscope than just a Sun Sign,” I commend you. And that’s another  compelling reason why you should get to know your horoscope. Or have a professional explain it to you.

As sweet as Libra can be, they are not marshmallows. The term “iron fist in a velvet glove” often applies. Jimmy Carter is a Libra. So was Margaret Thatcher.  Tim Robbins, John Lithgow, Lee Harvey Oswald, Julie Andrews and Maria von Trapp (inspired casting?) — all Libras.

The Sun’s ingress into Libra means that it’s the first day of fall. Did you know that the Sun is considered to be in its fall when it’s in Libra? In the language of astrology, when a planet is in fall, it means it is traveling through a sign that is not compatible with the planet’s essential nature. The Sun is all about ego recognition, around which everything (and everyone) revolves. It needs to be this way. But Libra needs to be focused on WE, not ME. Maybe that’s why one of Libra’s traits is indecisiveness. The Sun also refers to heads of state and CEOs. [UPDATE 9/26: Adam Neumann — the CEO of WeWork is stepping down. Born on April 25, 1979 in Tel Aviv (time unknown), he has four planets in me-me-me Aries, including go-go-go Mars. Unfortunately the pioneering initiative symbolized by his Aries Mars is being challenged by the authoritative control/brick wall known as transiting Saturn. Meanwhile, his empire-building Taurus Sun is also being challenged  — by a meet-up with Uranus, disruptor of the status quo. A sudden change should not come as a surprise, with the upside potential being liberation. Apparently Neumann voted for his own ouster. Free at last — once the Saturn squeeze is behind him.]

In other news, here’s what you need to know about the first day of any season  — i.e., equinoxes and solstices — from an astrological point of view. The first days of Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter correspond with the first day (or first degree) of Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn, respectively (there are thirty degrees in each sign of the zodiac). Got that? Good.

These four signs are called cardinal signs. Cardinal signs initiate. They come up with the idea and put it into action, which leads to necessary change. “Cardinal” suggests (from the Latin root of the word), “that on which something turns or depends.”  So the first day/degree of a Cardinal sign is a turning point. In astrology, the technical term for the first degree of any Cardinal sign is the “Aries Point”, just to confuse people who are not professional astrologers. In other words, the first day of Cancer, Libra, Capricorn and Aries is the Aries Point. The first day of Taurus (and the rest of the signs) is NOT at the Aries Point).

Equinoxes and solstices are also prominent. We make a fuss over them, right? In Japan, the first day of each season is actually a national holiday. How cool is that? Thus, in a horoscope, a planet or angle at the Aries Point needs to be prominent. Off the top of my head, astro twins Meryl Streep & Elizabeth Warren were born with the Sun at the Aries Point. They’re pretty prominent in everything they do, don’t you think? Ted Cruz also born with the Sun at the Aries Point, and some have observed that he can stick out like a sore thumb — which is another form of prominence.

Meanwhile…

The day is driven by the Moon in Cancer, seeking to establish emotional and homeland security. Around 1:21 PM ET, the Moon makes its weekly clash with Pluto, suggesting a power play or a emotional catharsis. I knew this was happening without even consulting my calendar, because I’m writing this from the deck of a deli on Fire Island. I was enjoying the beauty of the ocean and quiet, until the deli owner thought I really needed to listen to the Worst Radio Station of All Time. And even though I’m his only customer, he won’t turn the radio off. Power play! How are you experiencing this Moon-Pluto opposition? If it’s connecting with planets in your own personal horoscope, you are likely to feel it more than most.  The Moon goes void at 6:05 PM ET, on an easy aspect with action-hero Mars. Chill during the 11-hour void. Roll with whatever twists and flakes that may disrupt your efforts to move forward in a straight line. The rest of the week goes like this — note that the patterns among Mercury, Venus and Jupiter that are exact on Wednesday and Thursday will be reflected a few days before:

  • TUESDAYMoon enters rip roarin’ Leo at 5:19 AM ET, looking for a way to shine, shine, shine. Note the potential for an upset or clarifying revelation around 3:12 PM ET, as Moon makes its weekly clash with rebel Uranus. Information involving courts, publishing, foreign affairs, travel, education and other Jupiter concerns flows easily, as Mercury harmonizes with the planet of expansion at 5:01 PM ET. Alert the media, it’s likely to be big.
  • WEDNESDAYMoon goes void at 12:14 PM ET for the entire business day. Stick to routine tasks and don’t freak out over perceived crises. So often those that arise during Moon voids evaporate once the Moon is back in gear. Meanwhile, Venus squares Saturn at 3:12 PM ET PM. Venus refers to women, money, aesthetics and social expression. Saturn refers to authority, patriarchy, cuts, ambition and controls. The square suggests we’ll see “women of steel” making news, along with cuts to budgets and cold shoulders.
  • THURSDAY –Moon enters Virgo at 6:37 AM ET, ready to clean up the mess made by the Leo’s all-night Moon-void party. It sails without much interference through the day, aided by a ruthlessly perspicacious contact between Mercury and Pluto, exact at 7:49 PM ET. Mercury refers to how we need to think; information; Pluto refers to power, breakdown, decay and news from underground. It’s a reliable alert that a diligent investigative reporter is about to deliver the goods.
  • FRIDAY — Note your dreams in the AM, as the Moon opposes Neptune at 9:22 AM ET. The Virgo’s need for perfection in every detail drives the day. Moon goes void at 11:58 PM ET, on a meet-up with Mars.
  • SATURDAYMoon enters Libra at 6:03 AM ET, but it’s not quite ready to start anything new. That won’t happen until 2:26 PM ET, when the Libra Moon meets up with the Sun. A harmony between Venus and Jupiter graces the day, exact at 7:40 PM ET. Not a bad day to buy a few lottery tickets, especially if you have planets around 18 degress of just about any sign.
  • SUNDAY — Moon in Libra continues its quest for balance and harmony in relationship, with a potential speedbump around 2:40 PM ET, when Moon once again clashes with Pluto. Won’t you turn that radio off NOW, pretty please? Moon goes void at 10:06 PM ET — chill for the rest of the night.

To find out what all of this means in your own personal world, why not book a personal consultation? Here’s how to contact me.

And now, the news…

…brought to you by the third square between Jupiter (BIG) and Neptune (music, woo-woo, scandals, healing, vision, water, refugees, victims, dreams, wipeouts).

Planetary patterns are reflected in the obituary column, too.

UPDATE: on Al Gore. Avid Readers may recall I looked at his horoscope last month, and anticipated that we should be hearing from him fairly soon — and here he is:  “The Climate Crisis is the Battle of Our Time, and We Can Win.” Thank you, NYT, for publishing Gore’s op-ed on the front page of the Sunday Review, on the exact Jupiter-Neptune square! Here’s another interesting thing about the timing of this op-ed. Saturn is just one degree away from 15 Capricorn, which is where Pluto was on the seventh Uranus-Pluto square on March 17, 2015. Why is this interesting? Because on that day, the NYT published an op-ed on climate change from…Al Gore. Here is the forecast from that day.   The fact that Saturn is currently activating that seventh square suggests an opportunity to get real, take responsibility and make a game plan. In 2020, Jupiter will hit 15 Capricorn — so let’s see what kind of expansion occurs on the ambitious advance presented in Gore’s most recent op-ed.

Closing with a must-watch video: climate change activist Greta Thunberg makes big impassioned speech to the United Nations General Assembly, demanding action. I’ve written about her horoscope for the next issue of Mountain Astrologer, so stay tuned. One person really can change the world! Here’s what Greta inspired over the weekend: “Millions March in Youth-Led Global Climate Strike.”   — and this morning, in Washington DC: “‘Climate rebels’ shut down intersections across the District.”

OK — time to hit the beach, while the beach and the birds are still here.

Thank you for reading this forecast. I’ll be back in the office tomorrow.

Thursday-Friday 8/10-11/2017; Apoplexy in the News; Mind the Void; Rumor Has It

Greetings from Santa Fe…

…where the sensitive, intuitive and impressionable Pisces Moon went void at 9:38 AM ET. Go with the idealistic flow all through the day. Stick to routine concerns. Avoid impulse purchases. Remember that crises which crop up during Moon voids are often much ado about nothing. Chill — and consider indulging in a nice pedicure, as Pisces rules the feet.

Any indulgence in beauty and aesthetics would support the the idealism and optimism suggested by patterns today and early Saturday morning: Mercury and Sun in cooperative alliances with Venus and Jupiter, respectively (today);  Venus in nurturing Cancer in harmony with dreamy Neptune (Saturday).

At 1:22 AM ET on FRIDAY, Moon charges into me-me-me Aries, likely looking to get something started. Which, given that Mercury will turn retrograde on SUNDAY at 9:01 PM ET, should be something that is a REview or REorganization or REconnection project — not something brand spanking new. Start a vacation, maybe — a REtreat is also an apt action — and perhaps the heads of state in the U.S. and North Korea will take that under advisement. One can always hope.

In preparation for the Mercury retrograde, BACK UP YOUR COMPUTERS NOW.

And now, the news.

Remember the Sabian Symbol for the current New Moon cycle that began on July 23rd? It was “a fit of apoplexy.” Remember how there was a dominance of  planets in Fire Signs in that New Moon horoscope, suggesting four weeks of heated improvisation (because Fire doesn’t take the time to plan a strategy; it goes wherever the wind blows)? See any of that in recent headlines?

And now, the news.

Yesterday P45 improvised another threat aimed at North Korea,  “They will be met with fire and fury and frankly power, the likes of which this world has never seen before.” Regular readers of this forecast should not be surprised by the escalated rhetoric at this time. As mentioned before, P45 has a Mars line running through Washington and North Korea. What does that mean? Places on a Mars line in the horoscope are likely areas of militant conflict for heads of state,  and we’ve seen that theory tested in the horoscopes of other U.S. presidents. Get a copy of The Psychology of Astrocartography  by Jim Lewis and Kenneth Irving and you’ll find multiple examples.  For comic relief (comedy being a necesseary coping strategy for anxiety and  suffering), here’s master improvisor Stephen Colbert grading P45’s effort.

North Korea is angry about new sanctions recently imposed by the UN; thus, it has threatened retaliation against the United States because we’re so exceptional. In the horoscope of North Korea (courtesy of Jamie Partridge), we see Saturn (control, authority) at 28 Leo, which sits right on top of the Leo Ascendant of the U.S. Tweeter-in-Chief. This suggests the P45 (and the U.S., by extension), is likely to experience North Korea as a major block or wet blanket on his fiery regal image. Reading Partridge’s most excellent write-up of the North Korea horoscope, this bit about Venus jumped out:

Venus generally rules peace and diplomacy, but in mundane astrology signifies war in hard aspect. In ancient Mesopotamia, she was the Goddess of Love and Procreation when the evening star, and the Goddess of War when the morning star. In the North Korea horoscope she is Goddess of War, visible before sunrise. The furthest she can ever be in front of the Sun is 48 degrees, so at 46 degrees ahead of the Sun in this chart, she is a very fired up Goddess Ishtar. “her morning appearance woke them up to go to war” [Deborah Houlding].

So an angry Venus woke the North Koreans up at half past two in the morning to go to war. The square from Mars, ruler of the military and war, turns her anger into blind fury. The lunar eclipse before the declaration of independence was at 03°17′ Scorpio, less than half a degree from the North Korean Mars. This increases the aggressive and reactionary nature of the country.

North Korea’s Venus is 0 degrees Leo. Where was the New Moon on July 23rd? 0 Leo! No wonder North Korea responded by announcing plans to strike Guam.  Where will the next New Moon — also the Great American Eclipse — occur? On August 21st, at 28 Leo, right on North Korea’s 28 Leo  Saturn…and, as noted in previous posts, on P45’s 26 Leo Mars and 29 Leo Ascendant. Do you have any planets at 0 Leo and/or 28 Leo? Would you like to know how the Aug 21st total solar eclipse may impact your own personal world? I am offering a special mini-reading to answer just that question for  $44.88. Send me your date, place and time of birth and I will email you a brief write-up.

Meanwhile, it was revealed that on July 26th,  the FBI conducted a pre-dawn raid on the home of Paul Manafort, looking for “tax documents and foreign banking records.”  Glancing at the horoscope of Robert Mueller — time unknown — we see that his Venus at 26 Leo will be hit by the August 21st solar eclipse. This suggests an increase or decrease of effectiveness in relationship and/or financial concerns, so we’ll be watching the headlines carefully the first week of September. Without a birth time, we are limited to what we can anticipate. Mr. Mueller is a Leo with Moon in late Pisces or early Aries. His 14 degree Leo Sun was hit by this week’s Full Moon eclipse at 15 Leo/Aquarius. What else will be released in the aftermath?

In other news…. from Across the Pond. A source says that  Queen Elizabeth plans to bypass Prince Charles. Prince William will become England’s next king, in a story that has NOT — let the record show — been picked up by mainstream papers. Thus we are inclined to chuck it in the rubbish bin labelled “Mercury Retrograde Rumors That Turn Out To Be Much Ado About Nothing On An All-Day Moon Void.”

But just as an exercise — and as a relief from writing about the mainstream media’s deplorable Usual Suspects —  what do the horoscopes suggest? Last year we noted that the Queen’s horoscope would experience three hits of Uranus squaring her Capricorn Ascendant, suggesting potential break-ups, separations and a need for a fresh start in matters of self-worth and values. Those hits started in 2016 and continued into early 2017.  Brexit fit that potential perfectly.

Meanwhile, according to today’s tabloid story, a palace insider said:

“Her Majesty realized that William and Kate are the future. She has spent 65 years making sure that the House of Windsor survives, and she sees William and Kate as having the energy and star quality to do the job in a modern world. Queen Elizabeth will always do what is best for the long-term health of the monarchy,”

When might this rumored transition of power happen? It’s interesting to note that transiting Uranus will conjunct the Queen’s Taurus Sun three times, starting in 2018.  This suggests a need for freedom and independent expression, unconventional though it may be. We also see transiting Pluto conjunct Her Majesty’s Ascendant, starting in January of 2019, continuing through that year.  This suggests a dramatic change of perspective in personal identity. We see another measurement between her Midheaven and Saturn exact in December 2018, suggesting a change in professional status and/or significant family development. Clearly the horoscope is ripe for continued change.

In Prince William’s horoscope, we see transiting Saturn conjunct his 27 Sagittarius Ascendant three times in 2017, suggesting a streamlining squeeze on his identity, enabling him to emerge at the end of it as “Prince William version 2.0”. Saturn will oppose his 0 degree Cancer Sun and 4 degree Cancer Moon, starting in January of 2018. More gravitas for sure.  In 2018, transiting Uranus will oppose  his 2 degree Scorpio Midheaven, suggesting a disruption in the family and in his professional status. That opposition occurs twice next summer: on July 23rd and August 28th, accompanied by another measurement between the Sun and Venus. Sun-Venus measurements suggest a focus on love, popularity, creativity and/or birth.

UPDATE: It was announced on September 4th that the Duchess of Cambridge and Prince William are expecting their third child. Huzzah!

What’s going on in Prince Charles’ horoscope? In 2018 transiting Uranus will conjunct his material comfort and stability-seeking Taurus Moon three times, suggesting an intense disruption. In 2019, transiting Uranus squares his regal Leo Ascendant, suggesting a fresh start. Uranus rules the area of the Prince’s life regarding relationships and the public. It’s interesting to note that the Midheaven in Prince William’s horoscope is hit in 2018 — a year before the hits to the Queen and Prince Charles.

UPDATE: Soon after this forecast posted, Avid Reader Patricia wrote to set the record straight:

I love all the info about the Queen. Unfortunately she can’t give the crown straight to William bypassing Charles because in England titles and the crown go to the next in line. Nobody gets to choose who gets it next, it’s birth order. If it ever happened it would be because Charles died or has become mentally or physically impaired. Also the only way we would find out is the Prime Minister announcing it in Parliament. The laws in England are somewhat rigid when it comes to inheritance and after the whole what they term “nightmare” of the abdication of her uncle, who became the Duke of Windsor, the Royal family are somewhat skittish in this area.

Patricia is English and therefore someone who ought to Know About These Things. Thank you, Patricia for writing and helping me make a point about taking at face value a story that makes news during a Moon void and/or a Mercury Retrograde. Remember this when reading the headlines between now and September 5th!

Meanwhile, in the Land of Enchantment (New Mexico), it is ever so peaceful and quiet…so, so quiet. During the day in the middle of nowhere,  there is not a sound to be heard. It reminds me of the haunting opening of the movie Contact, as the camera pulls back from Earth through our solar system, finally surpassing the reach of audio transmission beaming out from this ‘big, blue marble.  Silence can be such a balm for the senses and the soul. I hope you will take time to tune in to this perspective as a necessary break from the tension of these”interesting times.”

Thank you for reading this forecast.

Would you like to know how the Aug 21st total solar eclipse may impact your own personal world? I am offering a special mini-reading to answer just that question for  $44.88. Send me your date, place and time of birth and I will email you a brief write-up.

Late Friday 5/26/2017 & The Weekend: New Moon in Gemini; Nevertheless, She Persisted

TGIF — and  Happy Memorial Day Weekend!

The info-junkie Gemini Moon has been driving the past few days with all the news that’s fit to print. Pay attention to the action around you as we get closer to 10:21 PM ET, when the Moon meets up with aggressive Mars. Moon goes on to oppose Saturn after midnight, 12:53 AM ET on SATURDAY, suggesting an ambitious advance or militant block. Moon then goes void, entering Cancer, sign of motherhood, homeland and apple pie at 7:24 AM ET.

The next two days suggest a focus on emotional/home security concerns, with the added rose-colored glasses of a harmony between Mercury (mindset) and Neptune (fog), at 3:04AM ET on SUNDAY. Also weighing in heavily: a militant face-off between Mars (aggression; courage) and Saturn (control; ambition; discipline). We’re seeing that all over the news, and you are more personally affected by it if you have a planet around 26 degreees of Gemini, Sagittarius, Virgo and Pisces. This aspect will be exact at 2:54 AM ET on MONDAY — followed five minutes later by a disruptive hit to the Cancer Moon by rebel Uranus in Aries. That explains the upsets and flashes of insight, for better or for worse.

Also being reflected in the news is the clash between  Venus in “warrior woman” Aries and Pluto in PTB Capricorn that was exact on Thursday at 12:19 PM ET. “If I be waspish, best beward my sting,” is the quote that comes to mind. Pushing, shoving and other exhibitions of emotional overkill would be the downside potential of this pattern. As in P45 shoving the prime minister of Montenegro. Or the first lady slapping away her husband’s hand. Or candidate Greg Gianforte physically assaulting a reporter the day before a special election in which the good citizens of Montana made him their new Congressman. I can’t even. Let NYT’s Gail Collins cheerfully tell you all about it.

How many planets do you think Gianforte has in impulsive Aries? Answer: three: Mercury, Sun and Venus — all squared by aggressive Mars (currently egged on in its forcefulness by transiting Pluto). Plus, transiting Uranus is almost conjunct his 27 degree Aries Sun (birth data:  April 17 1961 in San Diego). Disruptive breakouts? Being oneself and getting away with it? He’s been charged with assault — for something that happened during a void of course Moon. Will it stick?

One  upside of Mars-Saturn with Venus-Pluto would be a fiercely empowering feminine perspective on big testosterone something, such as…the NY Jets hiring its first female coach perhaps? Or a story about the women who are joining the U.S. Army as members of the infantry — heavy lifting and all — a U.S. Army first.

Or Hillary Clinton (whose own horoscope has tough aspects between Venus and Pluto, as well as Mars and Saturn), delivering a ruthlessly frank and empowering directive to the graduating class of 2017 at Wellesley College. If you watch the speech, you’ll notice she compares the volatility of present times with that of  1969, the year she graduated. That was in the aftermath of the Uranus-Pluto conjunctions in 1965-1966. We are currently in the aftermath of the Uranus-Pluto squares of 2011-2016. Keep that in mind when you look around and wonder how things you took for granted seem to be falling apart — and why there are so many who believe that an iron-fisted authority will save the day.

A couple of notes about Thursday’s Gemini New Moon. First, it’s not too late to make your list of intentions for this new lunar cycle. Use the idealism and discipline suggested in the New Moon chart for an informed and productive cause. You are more personally affected by the seed-planting potential of this New Moon if you have a  planet or angle around 5 degrees of Gemini, Virgo, Pisces and Sagittarius. Consult your local astrologer if you’d like more information on how this New Moon may affect you.

The Sabian Symbol for the New Moon is “drilling for oil.” Dig deep; use your piercing intellect and be as boring as you need to be in order to tap into a precious resource. In world affairs, I am inspired by astrologer Blaine Bovee’s musings on this Symbol:

Watch for falling into routines that stay on the surface of matters with deep implications. Look also for historical ironies such as imperialism giving rise to more level playing fields, archaic resources being burned up in smoke. Consider valuables that lead to sticky situations ; assumptions about living off of others’ resources; money games; rigging matters to propel advancement; becoming stuck in one’s ways.

Immediately I thought about P45’s latest proposal: selling off half of America’s strategic petroleum reserve. Burned up in smoke? Also thinking of Jared Kushner and Ivanka neglecting to disclose their ginormous art collection, which they were required to do by law. Sticky situation?

And now, more news.

The chart for the horrid attack at the Ariana Grande concert in Manchester at 10:35 PM on May 22nd looks like what you’d expect for such a militant and misogynistic action. Mars opposing Saturn (militant; arguably patriarchal) on the angles of the chart; Moon in Aries with destructive Eris and Uranus, also on angle; Venus in Aries opposed by Pluto. The Mars-Saturn face-off won’t be behind us until Monday; the Venus-Pluto square released yesterday. It seems apt that the UK remains in a state of “critical alert.”

It is fascinating to note that Ariana Grande’s horoscope has a Mars-Saturn opposition and a Venus-Pluto opposition. I see this all the time: people who are making news have patterns in their horoscope that reflect current patterns.  Also of note: her Mercury (how she needs to think and communicate) is being squared by disruptive Uranus; her 20 Capricorn Ascendant (with Uranus and Neptune exactly conjunct it!!) is under pressure from transiting Pluto, now retrograde at 19 Capricorn. This suggests extraordinary potential for upset and personal transformation, likely with mystical and/or healing themes. Keep an eye on Ms. Grande throughout 2018 and into early 2019, as this dramatic and empowering change of perspective takes form.

UPDATE (because I wrote that paragraph three days ago): true to the Venus-Pluto and Mars-Saturn patterns in her horoscope, Ms. Grande is coming back swinging. She’s returning to Manchester to do a benefit concert.

Speaking of benefit, two homeless men made headlines for their compassionate assistance to the victims of the Manchester attack. Their kindness has been rewarded over and over — by the public and by a billionaire. I’m happy for their sudden change of fortune, though it makes me think of all the other people in need — whether homeless or in other dire circumstances — and if they are inherently compassionate, too. And if so, just because their compassion doesn’t make interational headlines — should they not have a roof over their head  — or a job and other basic material support, too? Cue Mark Zuckerberg making headlines for his support of universal basic income now, please — posted just hours ago. How does his proposal reflect the potential of the Sabian Symbol for the New Moon (drilling for oil)?

Meanwhile…in yet another week of few exact planetary patterns (other than to the Moon), the largest landslide in California’s history has buried part of Highway 1, impacting the town of Big Sur. Just like that. Also buried:  Fox News has fallen to 3rd place in the primetime ratings for the first time in 17 years, trailing MSNBC and CNN.

Elsewhere, Sean Hannity is on a “planned vacation” after seven advertisers stopped supporting his show. Why? Because Mr. Hannity persisted in promoting a false conspiracy theory about the death of Sean Rich, who worked for the DNC.  Transiting Saturn is likely to be putting quite a squeeze on Mr. Hannity’s Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars next year when it meets up with all four of those planets in the early degrees of Capricorn. Could be quite a reality check after three years of transiting Neptune casting a rose-colored spell on his Pisces Ascendant.

In other news, P45’s mean and militant budget proposal landed earlier this week with the kind of thud we anticipated it might on a dead material comfort and security-preserving Taurus Moon. Gail Collins is here to fill you in on the slings, arrows and utterly delusional math.

There’s so much more to cover, but it will have to wait until next time. Have a lovely weekend — and may it be filled with simple joys.

Thank you for reading this forecast.

Astro-logical Forecast for Friday 9/10/2010 and the Weekend

William Shatner is getting a lot of press these days. A story about him appeared in the New York Times Magazine last week — and he’s starring in a provocative new sitcom, “$#!@ My Dad Says”. And on March 22, he’ll be 80 years old! With all this activity happening for him this year, do you think he might be personally affected by the empowering, life-altering Big T-Square Party (see forecast for 7/27/10 for details)? I had to investigate — and yes, in fact, he is. Shatner’s Sun is at 0 degrees of Aries; transiting Uranus (intensification, individuation) and expansive Jupiter are right on top of that Sun and making a supportive connection to his ruling planet, Mars. An astrologer counseling Mr. Shatner a year or so ago would have told him to be on the lookout for “breakout” roles that enabled him to shine in ways that might be seen as quirky or shocking….or just being himself. Break a leg, Mr. Shatner!

The Neptune-Mars connection (spirituality, saviors, fanatics), dominating the headlines this week continues to hold sway on Friday, apparently softening harsh edges enough to mollify even that aforementioned (see yesterday’s forecast) would-be book-burning Florida resident. How beautiful can life possibly be? Allow yourself to explore that question this evening — with a partner, even better.

You can continue to explore the depth of a beautiful connection over the weekend. Moon moves into Scorpio Saturday AM, demanding substance along with the sweetness of Friday’s dreamy seduction, augmented by a connection from loving Venus (in Scorpio) to transformational Pluto (ruler of Scorpio). It’s just all so potentially…juicy.

Mercury turns direct on Sunday at 7:09PM NY — be careful on the roads — be patient with yourself and others as we get used to our brains moving fully forward again, which will take until September 27th.  If you’ve been thinking about scheduling an appointment to review your horoscope and chart your course for the next six – twelve months, this is an excellent time to do it.
