All systems are go for what can be a very productive next three weeks. The first official work day of 2012 offers the Moon in steady Taurus, which seeks to establish material security and/or preserve the status quo. Comfort is key! You can be especially resourceful, as suggested by a smooth connection between Moon and regenerative Pluto. Tomorrow (Wednesday), offers more of the same steady vibe.
Writers and other creative thinkers should find this week productive, as Mercury (mind, travel, communication) is blessed by supportive connections from practical Saturn, inspirational Neptune and expansive Jupiter. Those connections will be exact over the weekend, but are in effect now.
The first big planetary shift of the year happens January 23rd at 7:54PM ET — now hear this! Mars will turn retrograde in Virgo…where it will appear to be moving backwards in the sky until April 13th. Mars is the planet of ACTION! Moving backwards is not comfortable. Thus, many people find themselves more irritated, impatient and frustrated than usual when Mars is retrograde. They feel like a truck spinning its wheels in the mud. There is a temptation to JUMP into action — resist the urge!
A more appropriate use of Mars retrograde is to treat it as a major strategy session. Think of a coach calling a time out on the playing field. Mars retrograde is a good time to huddle…and talk about a strategy for ORGANIZATION, (suggested by Mars in VIRGO, the Supreme Organizer), and REPAIR (how Virgos would love to make everything perfect — this is the time!). I hope members of Congress are reading this forecast.
