Astro-logical Forecast for Monday 10/22/2012: Sun in Scorpio

And a delightful Monday morning to you. Well, perhaps not so delightful for East Coasters waking up a few hours after an exact challenge between stern Saturn in stubborn Scorpio and Moon in quirky, yet equally stubborn, Aquarius (exact at 4:30AM ET).  A sense of loss, which fuels a reach for ambition — or perhaps some Designated Authority Figure throwing a wet blanket on someone’s rose-colored dream? In your own personal world, maybe all you’ll need is a second cup of coffee to get you buzzing through the day, picking up inspired and inventive ideas when the Moon is supported by “mad scientist” Uranus at 11AM ET. Hash them out in a brainstorming session with the rest of the gang.

The big astro-logical news today the Sun leaving airy, cerebral Libra for the watery, emotional sign of Scorpio (exact at 8:14PM ET). This adds to the demand for substance over theory suggested by disciplined Saturn’s ingress into Scorpio on October 6th. It should heighten the intensity of this evening’s third and final presidential debate, which starts at 9PM ET.  I will post a separate forecast for the debate later today.

Meanwhile, if you’re feeling a urge to merge with a higher consciousness or escape into some other rarefied, intangible state (music, spirit or drug-induced fantasy), then you are in tune with the patterns suggested by nebulous Neptune in harmonious contact with the Sun (life force), an aspect which is exact on Tuesday at 7:15AM. It’s a helpful aspect to have if you’re trying to keep the peace. It’s also a potential set-up for a vision or pure fantasy, deception or lies.

In contrast, a big dose of reality may hit when the annual meet-up between controlling Saturn and Sun (life force) on happens on Thursday morning. Last year, when the Sun and Saturn hooked up in Libra, we saw some heavy judgments handed down in the headlines. This year, with the hook-up in Scorpio, what debts will be called in from the depths, like so much karmic retribution? If you are celebrating a birthday around the 25th of October or July, or the 21st of February or April, you are likely feeling this more strongly than most.  Maybe your energy is a little low; maybe you’re feeling restricted or controlled — it’s all in an effort by the Universe to get you streamlined and  focused on what is essential.

Moon voids this week: Tuesday 9:2PM ET — Wednesday 7AM; Friday 11:04AM — 3:31PM ET.

Astro-logical Forecast for Friday 6/22/2012 & the Weekend:Uranus Square Pluto — We Have All Been Here Before

Moon entered playful, regal Leo last night at 11:47PM, bringing out the rollicking drama queen in all of us. Well, maybe some of us. A happy connection to jolly Jupiter at 4:19AM ET gets East Coasters out of bed with enthusiasm. Lunar aspects for the rest of the day are equally sunny and innovative (to loving Venus and offbeat Uranus, at 2:50PM and 3:38PM ET, respectively). Are you feeling lighter today than you were yesterday?

A soulful idealism also permeates the air, reflected in a harmonious connection between Sun in Cancer and nebulous Neptune in Pisces. This aspect is exact at 11:55PM ET Saturday, but its influence has been felt all week. Writers, healers and other spiritual artists can flourish in this rose-colored inspirational fog. Others may make statements that defy all rational belief systems, like this mind-boggling assertion from Joe the Plumber. Is there such a thing as idealism gone too far? What sayest thou? Actually, Mr. the Plumber’s perspective would seem to embody the square between expansive Jupiter and nebulous Neptune, which was discussed earlier in the week (and is exact on Monday). Great faith, grand spirit — and the potential for convolution when applied to matters of law and logic.

In your own personal world, TGIF and get out and party. Same for Saturday, too — taking note that the Leo Moon will be void of course at 6:26PM ET…not to enter discriminating Virgo until 7:43AM ET on Sunday.

Also happening on Sunday (4:14AM ET), the widely anticipated first of seven exact squares between rebel Uranus and ruthless Pluto.  Yep, this is the series of events that has all the astrologers buzzing. The exact squares will occur over the next three years. Call it the Mother of All Planetary Patterns. When Uranus and Pluto get together, expect the unexpected, as the status quo is disrupted so that something new (and hopefully more empowered), can take its place. Often the disruption occurs as a result of corruption in a hallowed system being exposed. There’s so much of it in the headlines — has been for so long — and will continue to be for the several years. Sexual abuse in a schools — long hidden; now revealed.  Financial institutions downgraded. A really rotten way to run a prison. Issues of individual freedom vs. institutional authority.

Some people find what’s happening now oddly familiar. They compare these times to the 60s…or even the 30s. Well, guess what? Pluto and Uranus were square to one another in the early 30s. They were conjunct in the mid-60s. So we’re seeing a resurgence of issues that were big then…big now. Health care (1965 brought us Medicare — where are we now?) Access to contraception in the United States became legal for married women in 1965. Research and development of oral contraceptives started in the 30s. Where are we now? On a lighter note, have you noticed what people are wearing these days?  The 60s are definitely back…to finish what they started.

One more thought about upheavals that will likely change our world forever. It’s absolutely no coincidence that we’d see a line like this at this time:  “After 40 years, more evidence is being reported Wednesday that the end of the biggest manhunt in the history of physics might finally be in sight.” So don’t hit the panic button just yet. Some of these breakthroughs and upheavals just may save us in the long run. “What the caterpillar calls the end of the world, the master calls a butterfly”.

So what does this mean for YOU?  Well, if you were born with the Sun in the first half of Aries, Cancer, Libra or Capricorn (especially six to eleven days into those signs)…or you have a key planet (like the Moon) or a key point (like the Ascendant or Midheaven) in that part of the zodiac, you’ve likely been handed — or dealt, with no option to resist or refuse —  opportunities for empowerment (Pluto) and emancipation (Uranus) that have disrupted your status quo.  Read more about this in an article I wrote that is posted here

Suffice it to say, virtually everyone who has contacted me for a consultation during the last year has been personally affected by this powerful Uranus-Pluto transit. Most could not believe that I could see the sudden changes in the horoscope — without them having to tell me. And they appreciated the perspective that astrology gave them as they navigated these challenges and changes. Astrology has an uncanny way of making life make sense.

Astro-logical Forecast for Wednesday 10/19/2011: The End of the World. Not.

Water, water everywhere…well at least here in New York and other parts East. Go with the flow & gracefully adjust to any structural adjustment, serious focus or wet blanket that may be tossed at you around lunchtime ET. If you’re feeling a urge to merge with a higher consciousness or escape into some other rarefied, intangible state (music, spirit or drug-induced fantasy), then you are in tune with the patterns suggested by nebulous Neptune in harmonious contact with the Sun (life force), an aspect which is exact on Friday. It’s a nice aspect to have if you’re trying to keep the peace. It’s also a potential set-up for an illusion that does not prove to be real.

Remember that Family Radio Guy who predicted the world would end on May 21, 2011 — a day notable for its abundance of Neptunian, “rose-tint my world” glow (I wrote about this around May 21st, if you feel like digging up the prior forecast — and I can’t remember his name)http://www.ebiblefellowship.com/outreach/tracts/may21/  Well, anyway, that didn’t happen, and many people who’d sold all their material goods in preparation for the Rapture (another Neptunian state of being), were disappointed. Isn’t it interesting that Family Radio Guy would re-schedule the end of the world on yet another day with nebulous Neptune pulling focus? I predict the world will not end on the October 21st either, and that those who are looking for a greater connection with spirit might find it at any one of the many Occupy (Your City Here) gatherings over the weekend. Pass the marshmallows around the campfire, please —  but do be careful if your gathering happens to going on in Greece ; )

Astro-logical Forecast for Wednesday 6/22/2011: Nebulous Neptune in the News

Keep your grounding cord down as the Moon in soulful Pisces continues its free fall, not to enter the next sign, Aries, until after midnight. For details on the energy of a void-of-course Moon, check out the ESSAYS section on my website, www.graceastrology.com. If you must move in a straight line today, then move you must; just be advised that the chances of getting off track are increased, so roll with whatever twists may come your way. If you do have freedom to float, follow your bliss. Creative and healing activities are highly favored.

Two powerful aspects from nebulous Neptune in its home sign of Pisces are exact today. Neptune squares aggressive Mars and trines the life-giving Sun. Neptune tends to dissolves whatever it touches, especially structures and other material things. Clouds, fog, glamor, charisma and other intangibles such as music, photography, healing and spirit are related to Neptune. When Neptune is strong in a horoscope, things may not be as they seem. Fact checking and reading the fine print more than once becomes essential.
How might Neptune square Mars manifest in an individual horoscope? For one possibility, look no further than today’s front-page profile of would-be president Michele Bachman http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/22/us/politics/22bachmann.html?hp  Sarah Palin has this aspect. So does Glenn Beck. Newt Gingrich and Bill Clinton also have intense connections between Mars and Neptune (not squares, however).

In the headlines yesterday I noted a few Neptune-influenced stories in the headlines. In the business world, it was noted that the debt-ridden city of Harrisburg, the capital of PA is appealing to God to help solve its financial woes with a three-day prayer and fast in which the mayor will participate http://blogs.reuters.com/faithworld/2011/06/18/harrisburg-pennsylvania-turns-to-god-for-fiscal-relief/  In the media, a UK newspaper apologizes for publishing a sex scandal that turned out to be fake http://www.pressgazette.co.uk/story.asp?sectioncode=1&storycode=47324&c=1 …and so was this press release announcing that a US company had been accused of fraud http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/06/21/china-accounting-hoax-idUSN1E75K0ON20110621  Meanwhile, JP Morgan Chase will pay millions to settle with the SEC over charges it misled investors http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052702303936704576399971570631618.html?mod=googlenews_wsj And finally, we have this front page story about an innovative new camera http://www.nytimes.com/2011/06/22/technology/22camera.html?hp
