The start of the work week is driven by the Moon in Aquarius, seeking to be appreciated for being unique and equal in stature. May everyone in your assorted groups be regarded as such. Arise, go forth and network.
The Moon is dead. It was dead yesterday during the most dead and boring Super Bowl of all time, so people are saying. If people wanted an exciting game, it should have been held before Friday’s brutal Mars-Pluto square…or even earlier in January, before certain powerful patterns released in the horoscopes of Tom Brady and Jared Goff (the quarterbacks for the Patriots and the Rams). Instead it was held on a dead Moon traveling with no aspects to other planets all day (and thus reflecting the lack of tension in the game). Even the Super Bowl half time show was reportedly D.O.A.
I tuned in around 8:15 PM ET — looked at the chart for the start of the game and posted the potential for a boundary-pushing action around 8:51 PM ET — no later — on a friend’s Facebook page. Lo and behold, there was a record-breaking punt around 8:49-ish– just look at the 8:51 PM timestamp on the post that turned up on my FB feed — how cool is that?
The Moon will no longer be dead at 4:04 PM ET, when it meets up with the Sun at 15 degrees of Aquarius. The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon is “a big businessman at his desk.” Sabian Sage Blain Bovee writes that “this is an image of dealing with shining matters of importance plowing through work that must be done with an eye to that which must be done first.” A big businessman is an image of a formidable presence with widespread influence….but wait- wait- wait! Bovee assures us that this is meant to be a positive image, and we are advised to approach this lunar cycle with a mind to a “big, cheery outlook; an influence that spreads from a brilliant, radiant core; a warming to a sense of responsibility; glimmers of hope.” If there is a downside, it may show up as “shallow officiousness; hollow platitudes; an impostor.” Indeed.
Patterns in the chart for the New Moon set in Washington D.C. look like this…
…and they will unfold this week as follows:
- MONDAY: Moon sextile Jupiter at 9:35 PM ET — optimism, optimism, optimism
- TUESDAY: Moon sextile Mars at 8:49 AM ET — easy application of pioneering action. Moon sextile Uranus at 6:59 PM ET — innovation, inclusion; manageable disruption. Moon will be void until 9:02 PM ET, when it enters Pisces.
- WEDNESDAY: Moon in Pisces all day — with only one aspect — happening at 2:33 AM ET between the Moon and Venus. Go with the intuitive flow. This lack of planetary activity is similar to what was (not) happening during yesterday’s Super Bowl.
- THURSDAY: Dreams and vision are highlighted at 3:43 AM ET, as Moon meets up with Neptune. If you’re up at 4:44 AM ET, seize the productive structuring offered by the Moon’s sextile with Saturn. Moon squares Jupiter at 11:16 AM ET, suggesting too much of something in the morning hours…but hey! Optimism optimism optimism has been coloring the week, especially noticed around 7:33 PM ET, when Jupiter sextiles the Sun at 7:33 PM ET. This is followed by an effective “walk the talk” alignment of Mars sextile Mercury at 8:25 PM ET. What is the action plan, and will it be announced during the Moon void that began at 5:13 PM ET? Chill during the void — focus on routine — and do not be freaked by a crisis that crops up. Moon gets back into gear on…
- FRIDAY: …at 9:34 AM ET, when it charges into me-me-me Aries, looking to get something started. Fascinatingly, there are no aspects to the Moon until 9:21 PM ET, when Moon squares Venus. Whose me-me-me initiative will clash with someone else’s social standing? Until then, put yourself on cruise control and hit the road.
- SATURDAY: More Moon in Aries on cruise control. That’s right — no bumps in the road until around 5 PM ET, when Moon squares Saturn. Use your wits as you may be pleasantly surprised at your creative solution, as Mercury sextiles Uranus at 5:53 PM ET. The potential for innovative thinking is in effect all week.
- SUNDAY: Now we are getting busy. Moon makes its weekly clash with Pluto at 4:50 AM ET; watch for the usual power play in the headlines. Mercury — how we need to think — leaves rocket scientist Aquarius at 5:51 AM ET. It will be in Pisces until April 16th and deserves more attention than I’m prepared to deliver now, so stay tuned. The Aries Moon meets up with Mars and Uranus around 4 and 7 PM ET, respectively. Time to shake, rattle and roll.
Now then. Humming in the background of all of the above, including the energetic imprint of today’s New Moon is this: Mars in Aries meeting up with Uranus at the very very very last degree of Aries, exact on February 13th at 1:19 AM ET. On the 14th, Mars will leave Aries for Taurus (to be discussed in a future forecast) and will trigger 1) the horoscope of The Donald’s inauguration and 2) the horoscope of Nancy Pelosi, both of which were eclipsed by the total lunar eclipse on January 21st. We should see some daring actions and assertions right about then…and in the news in general. In the New Moon chart set in Washington DC, we see that Mars-Uranus meet-up strongly placed in the 10th House, there for all the world to see.

And now, the news.
Last Friday’s square between Mars and Pluto suggested something explosive hitting the wires as the clock approached 10:15 PM ET. Cue Virginia Governor Ralph Northam, a pediatric neurologist whose comments on a proposed state bill loosening controls on third-trimester abortions prompted outrage in certain circles earlier in the week. On Friday around the time of that Mars-Pluto square, Northam’s yearbook page from his days at medical school in 1984 went viral — prompting outrage and calls for his resignation from all of humanity.
From an astrological perspective, let the record show that back in 2014 and 2015, civil rights once again became an exceptionally hot topic in the U.S. We were well into the never-ending Uranus-Pluto square, which was making an especially anguished aspect with the horoscope of the United States. Here’s an item from October 2015:
Perhaps his firing bodes well for Alabama, where a police officer is facing a second trial on charges of violating the civil rights of an Indian grandfather out for a morning stroll, i.e., Walking While Brown. Inexplicably — yet captured on tape — the grandfather was slammed to the ground and ended up in the hospital. Putting this into an astro-logical perspective, history buffs will recall that civil rights was a hot button issue in the mid-60s, when Uranus and Pluto were conjunct in Virgo. Now that Uranus and Pluto are square to each other, we would expect matters that were hot in the 60s to be hot again now. Sure, seeds were planted in the 60s — but now we are finding out if those seeds will flourish. With respect to the United States, its horoscope is experiencing a potentially anguishing transit of Pluto to the US Saturn. It is time for the US to face its dark side.
What’s going on now in the U.S. horoscope is that transiting SATURN is squaring the U.S. Saturn, which it will do three times this year. Saturn can act as a karma cop, demanding accountability and consequences.
Meanwhile, the State of the Union is on tomorrow night at 9 PM ET in DC. The Aquarius Moon will be void, but right on The Donald’s 29 degree Aquarius Descendant. That’s a helpful aspect for someone making a public speech. Moon enters Pisces at 9:02 PM ET and it will sextile Venus. I expect we will hear beautiful words, perhaps the most beautiful we’ve ever heard involving Pisces themes: compassion, unity, suffering, drugs, refugees plus optimism, optimism optimism.
Of course Stacey Abrams has been asked to deliver the Democratic rebuttal, given that transiting Jupiter exactly conjoined her Sagittarius Sun on January 30th. This suggests strong potential for positive and expansive opportunities all through 2019. If Georgia’s gubernatorial election were held today, I suspect she would win hands down. No birth time for Ms. Abrams, just December 9, 1973 in Madison, WI.
In other news, many people would like ex-Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz to shut up and go away, instead of run for president as an independent candidate. The anguish he may be feeling by the hostile reception is suggested by transiting Pluto square his Saturn three times in 2019 (July 19, 1953 in Brooklyn, NY). Clearly the man does not have an astrologer on his team. Hostile reception or not, Mr. Schultz is still likely to be buzzing with innovative and disruptive ideas, backed by force of will and action. Transiting Uranus squares his Mercury (buzz, buzz), followed by transiting Pluto opposing his Mars (force of will/action). Plus, transiting Jupiter has just conjoined his natal Jupiter, so we can appreciate why he’s feeling so expansive. If he persists, he will then be pushing against the squeeze of transiting Saturn opposing his Cancer Sun in 2020. More than one declared candidate has a challenging Saturn-Sun pattern in his/her horoscope in 2019 or 2020. What a contest this will be.
Ah. Before I forget: yesterday’s Mercury-Jupter sextile coupled with Venus at the Aries Point suggested publishing pulling focus. Lots of people are saying their favorite Super Bowl ad was this one narrated by Tom Hanks, presented by the Washington Post. Of course it would be Tom Hanks, because astrology. Here is his horoscope.
Ooh…here’s another fun blast from the past i.e., a post from 2015. Looking at past Uranus-Pluto cycles in the U.S., my sense is that the social safety net can’t help but expand in the aftermath of the 2011-2016 Uranus-Pluto square. It is interesting to see how many candidates are declaring support for some kind of universal health coverage, backed by a tax plan to pay for it. From that 2015 post:
I’m interested to see what will hit the headlines when Jupiter is at 17-18 degrees of Virgo this November and next March and July. These were the degrees of the game-changing Uranus-Pluto conjunctions of 1965 and 1966. I expect we’ll see expanded progress on the seeds planted at that time, including, but not limited to: awareness of climate change and other ways human behavior is impacting ecological systems; awareness of subatomic particles, e.g. the Higgs boson; health care systems such as Medicare (which was created in the mid-60s). Read your history books and fill in the rest of the possibilities.
Jupiter, as you know, is in that 17-18 Sagittarius range now, squaring 17-18 degrees of Virgo. It will be there again in June, late September and early October.

The work week begins with the Moon in Libra, where it has been since Sunday at 4:32AM ET. Its need for social graces, harmony and balance in relationship flowed without interference yesterday, save perhaps for a mental buzz or startling revelation suggested by Mercury in a supercharged connection with innovative Uranus and energetic Mars, exact Sunday night at 10PM ET and Monday at 3:29AM ET. What was the big brainstorm?
On Monday, the Libra Moon’s need to keep the peace is challenged by Pluto at 12:46PM ET and by the Sun at 8:52PM ET. The former suggests emotional intensity and power plays. The latter is the First Quarter Moon — suggesting a challenge to the New Moon agenda you set last Monday. Another upset is suggested on Tuesday at 5:30AM ET, when Moon opposes Uranus. But you’re used to these weekly clashes among the Pluto, Uranus and the Moon, right?
Moon goes void on Tuesday at 11:01AM ET, on a charged connection with Mercury, suggesting communications that may result in a much ado about nothing crisis during the long void. At 11AM ET tomorrow, Bernie Sanders is scheduled to formally endorse Hillary Clinton. Moon enters the next sign — Scorpio — at 4:52PM ET, seeking depth, substance, control and perhaps a bit of self-indulgent moodiness.
Planetary patterns of note this week include Venus (social expression) and Mercury (thought and communication) both leaving nurturing Cancer for drama queen Leo. For the next few weeks, it’s showtime! Venus enters Leo at 1:34AM ET on Tuesday; Mercury follows at 8:47PM ET on Wednesday. They both meet up with a rose-colored opinionated roar on Saturday at 6PM ET.
At 9:30AM ET on Saturday, the Cancer Sun will be challenged by rebel Uranus, possibly reflecting the other shoe dropping after the intense power plays of last Thursday’s opposition between the Sun and Pluto. Also on Saturday just before midnight ET (11:45PM), we’ll have an easy flow between the Sun and Mars, operating efficiently in Scorpio. May it be used for better, not for worse.
Your Moon voids for the week — natural breaks in the action when efforts to move forward in a straight line may be impacted by curious twists and flakes — are as follows: Tuesday 11:01AM ET – 4:52PM ET; Thursday 6:22PM ET – 5:14AM ET; Sunday 4:57AM ET – 3:33PM ET. Remember that crises that crop up during voids are often much ado about nothing. Stick to routine concerns and chill!

Since I’m writing this under the influence of Monday’s erratic Mercury-Uranus square, these items will be suitably provocative, brilliant and in no particular order.
Speaking of erratic, Rudy Giuliani. Why is he all over my newsfeed, where he hasn’t been since March of 2015, when he hijacked my forecast? Back then it was transiting Mars at the Aries Point, putting pressure on his Aries Point Midheaven and Ascendant. Yesterday it was transiting Mars again — at an exact square to his regal Leo Moon, prompting a blah blah blah about #BlackLivesMatter being “inherently racist” and that we really need “boots on the ground” to fight ISIS — presumably so long as those boots are not his own. Wow, that was so helpful, Mr. Giuliani. Thank you!
With his natal Mars in Leo (where it may well get away with murder, as astrologer Grant Lewi once observed, placed so close to Pluto, we can appreciate his penchant for forceful, imperious action. Hillary Clinton also has Mars conjunct Pluto in Leo (and even more intricately involved in her persona). Oh, but there is more with Mr. Giuliani. His bewildering 2015 Neptune-Sun transit is behind him, and now he has Solar Arc Midheaven and Ascendant in nearly exact contact with his natal rebel Uranus all year. This suggests opportunities and needs for taking the stage, shining in the spotlight and perhaps a dramatic new direction in his career/public status. Let’s watch.
UPDATE: On July 14th it was announced that Mr. Giuliani will be one of the speakers at next week’s Republican Convention.
I am kicking myself for not posting this next one last night, when I started drafting it. You’d be kicking yourself too, if you were experiencing transiting Saturn square Pluto, but that’s another story. THIS story is about the fact that in the aftermath of last Thursday’s Sun-Mercury-Pluto power play, combined with the chick-friendly upset of Venus, challenged by rebel Uranus and give-me-a-place-at-the-table-or-I-will-tear-your-head-off Eris, Britain is absolutely, positively going to have a woman running the show as prime minister. Which one of two possible contenders was to be decided on in September….but…
With all of last week’s intensity, I stepped away from the headlines for a few days. Finally got around to following up on the birth data for the two women — Andrea Leadsom and Theresa May — last night. Didn’t read a single story about them — just looked at the charts, birth times unknown. First thought: wow, they are both so conservative…with Ms. Leadsom’s horoscope striking me as a bit more militant. And this confused me, because I momentarily forgot that the UK has a parliamentary system of government, which means the political party that is in power elects the prime minister. It’s not like in America, where candidates from different parties compete for the top slot in a general election. The party in power in the UK right now is the Conservative Party; ergo, we’d expect its members to have horoscopes reflecting this potential.
Theresa May (Oct 1, 1956 in Eastbourne UK), is having a Jupiter return, so I thought that gave her an edge over Andrea Leadsom (May 13, 1963 in Aylesbury UK) who true to her name, did have a lead as of last week. True, the make-it-happen needs of Ms. Leadsom’s Capricorn Moon might be supercharged by transiting Uranus or Pluto…or fired up by solar arcs from the Sun and Mars. Can’t tell without an exact time. Transiting Uranus has been intensifying Ms. Leadsom’s pioneering Venus at 23 Aries — and that will continue through the rest of the year. But Theresa May’s Jupiter return is happening right now at 17 Virgo…and transiting Jupiter will meet up with her Libra Sun in October. That looks good for expansion, don’t you think?
So this morning it was reported that Ms. Leadsom has suddenly (translation: transiting Uranus likely hit something in her horoscope) withdrawn her candidacy, and there was a kerfuffle over the weekend about Ms. Leadsom saying she was more qualified to serve as PM because she was a mother. Ms. Leadsom was against Brexit; then she supported it (more erratic rebel Uranus at play in the horoscope, likely). Ms. May, in contrast, favored staying in the EU. Ms. May, with her solar arc Neptune at the Aries Point, could be poised to blossom as a visionary over the next year or so. That would be a high-octave manifestation of the potential of Neptune.
UPDATE: There was no waiting until September. The third hit of Ms. May’s Jupiter return was July 6th. On July 13th, she was invited by the Queen to become Prime Minister and form a government. As expected, Theresa May accepted. Here is the photo of the new Prime Minister and the Queen.
Meanwhile, over the weekend the Moon was in Virgo — as noted in the last forecast — encouraging you to clean up your act at least through Saturday. The NYT facilitated your organizing efforts with a lengthy piece about Marie Kondo, whose Kon-Mari system of decluttering continues to take the world by storm.
Elsewhere, I’m delighted to report that Isabella Rossellini has been rehired by Lancome. Ms. Rossellini was fired twenty years ago because at 43, she was declared to be too old and thus of no monetary value — and that’s when I stopped buying Lancome products. Plenty of women between 45 and 60 are likely to treated as if they’re worthless in the workforce, says Ms. Rossellini. Her re-hire by Lancome is happening just as Jupiter (ruling her outspoken Sagittarius Ascendant) is meeting up with Uranus by solar arc. Here is her horoscope. We could expect a lucky break for her right about now. Welcome back, Ms. Rossellini!
A solar arc, for Avid Readers who are new to astrology, is one way astrologers use to measure the timing of opportunity and events in a horoscope. So whenever you see the words “solar arc,” just think, “Ah! An opportunity presents itself.” Got that? Same thing with the word “transit” or “transiting.” It means “this is an opportunity to work with the potential of whatever planets are making contact/transiting one another.” Clear?
Continuing to reflect last week’s powerful, dirt-exposing potential, especially on behalf of women who are mad as hell and aren’t going to take it any more (last week’s Venus square Uranus-Eris): after Gretchen Carlson filed a lawsuit accusing Fox News head Roger Ailes of sexual harassment, six more women told similar stories — going back decades — with more presumably to follow. In the NYT, a former trader weighed in with this expose, “How Wall Street Bro Talk Keeps Women Down.” In other news, Bill Cosby was informed that a lawsuit charging him with sexual assault will go forward, true to patterns in his horoscope continually noted in this forecast, and despite multiple efforts on his part to delay the inevitable.
Meanwhile, Newt Gingrich is getting a lot of press for being a potential Republican VP nominee. I’ve written about Mr. Gingrich several times in the past — way back in 2012 when he announced his run for president. Even back then I noted how much he and Donald Trump have in common: they are both Geminis with Moon in righteously opinionated Sagittarius, with no small amount of visionary or simply fantastic pixie-dust to sell. This year, Mr. Gingrich’s horoscope — with its unconfirmed 11:45PM birthtime — is poised for zealous and formidable action, regardless of the time. How so?
First, consider a solar arc between Mr. Gingrich’s Sun and Uranus, exact at the end of June. This suggests an opportunity to shine as himself and be accepted. Second, consider patterns between Mars (action!) and Pluto (empowerment), as well as the Sun and Mars, suggesting the zealous and formidable action — needing to seek a broad public reach — noted above. These are patterns in effect through the rest of 2016. In 2017, if the 11:45PM birth time is correct — and this is a BIG if — we see a potential for recognition and reward that comes along rarely in a lifetime (solar arc Sun = Midheaven), combined with a definite windfall/big break potential suggested by transiting Uranus to his natal Jupiter. Definitely one to watch over the next year. Sun refers to life force/ego identity; Midheaven refers to career/status.

The New Moon — i.e., the monthly meet-up of the Sun and Moon — happens at 2:14AM ET this morning. A New Moon offers us an opportunity to re-set intentions and goals for the next lunar cycle. Sometime today or tomorrow, light a candle and make a list. Around October 1st, on the First Quarter Moon, we can expect a challenge to those goals, with appropriate adjustments made. At the time of the Full Moon on the 8th, we can expect illumination on the success or failure of our goals for the cycle. If we succeeded, we can consciously release our success into our reality; if we failed, we let go of whatever did not work. After the Third Quarter Moon on the 15th, we can review our achievements, tie up loose ends and get ready to begin another New Moon on the 23rd.
Libra is the sign of partnerships; marriage is an obvious partnership; some business relationships are partnerships, including adversarial ones. We went through the first half of the zodiac with New Moons focusing on the Self: Aries = my identity; Taurus = my values/possessions; Gemini = my mind; Cancer = my emotions/family; Leo = my love to give; Virgo = my service/work/body. Now we’re ready to go public. Take a look at your relationships: how are We doing? What is the State of Our Unions? How do they reflect the Libran qualities of justice, fairness, diplomacy, peace, beauty and sweetness? Is there resentment or a lack of appreciation? Are there issues hanging in the balance (Libra is the sign of the Scales)?
Use a bit of creative visualization in your New Moon meditation — and if you’re not a meditating type, grab a pen and paper and make a list of partnership objectives for the next few months. If there’s anything/anyone on that list that you already have, make time for social graces and express your appreciation. Libra NEEDS appreciation for being valuable in relationship; by extension, our relationships need grace and appreciation, too.
The Sabian Symbol for this New Moon at 1 degree 8 minutes of Libra is this: “Light of the sixth race transmuted to the seventh,” and I’m so glad Sabian Symbol guru Blain Bovee has thought long and hard about how we might apply it in real life. This is an “image of a shifting in the quality of light energy into a higher, accelerated frequency,” he writes. “‘Race’ can be a dicey topic if approached in a less than enlightened manner.” Mmm-hmmm, so perhaps this suggests a need to proceed with a delicate consideration in relationships during this lunar cycle, especially since much of it will occur during mental Mercury’s next retrograde, which happens on October 4th. Mercury retrogrades suggest a higher probability for misunderstandings, doncha know.
And what about this idea of transmutation? “In esoteric philosophy, transmutation from the sixth to the seventh ray is the movement from a path of devotion to a path of ceremonial magic that realizes the unity of all things, as well as open-mindedness, gentleness and love.” Not bad traits to cultivate in your relationships during this cycle, along with “an awareness of all uplifting shifts within experience; from dark to light; cold to warm…consider ultrafine sensibilities; ultralight tenderness; imperceptible impressions”…all those refined expressions of appreciation Libra can do so well.
There’s no Moon void to delay or detour your efforts to move forward in a straight line today, though note the potential for a bit of emotional intensity or a power play around 9:39PM ET, when the Moon is challenged by ruthless Pluto. Adding to the mystical pixie dust of the fading Mars-Neptune square is an approaching easy connection between expansive Jupiter in regal Leo and rebel Uranus in Aries. Jupiter-Uranus connections spark high-flying ideas and ambitions….some humanitarian, others cosmic or at least, high-tech. Let’s watch the headlines for innovation and boundaries pushed….and oh, look, here’s a TV show premiering later tonight that perhaps aims to do just that. It’s called “black-ish,” which is quite intriguing, given the Sabian Symbol for the New Moon.
You may be feeling the high-flying optimism of the Jupiter-Uranus trine if you have a planet between 8 and 17 degrees of Aries, Leo and Sagittarius. That would include NYT columnist David Brooks, whose shiny happy ode to New York in today’s paper has some readers wondering what he’s been smoking. Brooks has his Mercury (mindset) at 14 Leo, which is exactly where Jupiter is now. Jupiter making contact with Mercury suggests a need for uplifting and expansive thinking, for better or for worse. To be fair, the aforementioned column does segue into a more sober tone, perhaps reflecting the fact that stern Saturn at 19 Scorpio is squaring his 18 Leo Sun. And last week, he wrote about the importance of friendship, as Uranus (ruler of “who’s yer buddy?” Aquarius) made contact with Mercury. I’ll bet your current train of thought is reflected in patterns in your horoscope, too.
And now, more news.
Pluto turned direct on Monday, suggesting a potent release of energy, possibly destructive. With Pluto almost exactly opposing the US Sun in Cancer, let the record show that airstrikes against ISIS were launched in Syria and elsewhere. News from underground often bubbles to the surface during Pluto activity, and in that article you’ll read about a troubling group of individuals known as the Khorasan. We’ve never heard of them before…until now. Meanwhile, the Sun at 0 degrees Libra (the Aries Point, as discussed in the last forecast), suggested a need for prominence in the Libran concern for equality in relationship. And there was Emma Watson, who brought Hermione Granger to life and is now serving as a UN Women Goodwill Ambassador, delivering an impassioned speech on gender equality. And boy did this speech attract attention — including threats from the social media trolls, who have now been categorically proven in this recent study to be the sociopaths, sadists and narcissists we always suspected them to be.
Finally, in case you missed the (virtually non-existent) TV coverage of Sunday’s Peoples’ Climate March in New York, here’s Jon Stewart’s take on the event, along with an excerpt of a stunning recent hearing held before the Congressional Committee on Science, Space and Technology. You’ll laugh, you’ll cry — and you might find it helpful to know that all of the illustrious Congressmen in this Daily Show segment are up for re-election in November…and if you don’t vote, somebody else will.
Oh. One other astrological tidbit reflected in today’s news. Scientists (bless them) have released predictions on which US cities are most vulnerable to the anticipated effects of climate change. Which ones are your safest bet? Which ones might be toast and which ones might be under water by 2047-2048? It’s fascinating that scientists are keying in on 2047 as a significant date. Why? Well, for years we’ve been talking about the dramatic crisis/awareness suggested by the never-ending Uranus-Pluto square, a.k.a. the Planetary Pattern Everyone Should Be Talking About. But of course I say never-ending in jest; the seven series of squares wrap up next year, though the pattern will still likely be felt through 2016. Then what? Well, in 2047, we’ll have the Uranus-Pluto opposition. For clues on what we can expect, think of the opposition operating as an opposition between the Sun and Moon (i.e., a Full Moon) — and re-read the second paragraph of this forecast. Will we work out the challenges of the Uranus-Pluto square (which operates like a First Quarter Moon) by the time the series completes? Fingers crossed….and here’s some good news: 40 companies have pledged to stop tropical deforestation by 2030 and others are stepping up to the plate. It’s a start.

Moon entered Libra last night at 9:19PM ET, seeking balance and appreciation for its people-pleasing, diplomatic skills. As a Libra Moon tends to think about what it feels, it offers an opportunity for objectivity and rational discourse, even if it has difficulty making a final decision. It’s hard to choose when you can see the merits of both sides! A surprise jolt or emotional power play, however, may be felt between 4 and 7pm ET, when the need to keep the peace and avoid conflict is disrupted by challenges from the never-ending Uranus-Pluto square. At 7:49PM ET, an easy flow to the Moon from glib Mars in Gemini fuels lively discourse and innovative action as a result. Speaking of innovative action, new ways to invent the wheel may be experimented with all day, especially in the tech and outer space sector, as the multi-talented Gemini Mars is supported by technogeek Uranus. Think outside the box.
There are few Moon voids to derail your efforts to move forward in a straight line this week, so much can be accomplished — and should be accomplished, especially since Mercury will be turning retrograde on June 26th. BACK UP YOUR COMPUTERS AND TECHNOGIZMOS NOW. I don’t want to hear you whingeing that you lost all your data in the volatile weeks of July. You have been warned.
About the voids: we’ve got a brief on on Tuesday at 11:55PM ET until 2:39AM ET Wednesday — no big deal. On Thursday, we’ve got a void starting at 3:16PM ET until 4:31AM ET — that one is significant, as it affects people trying to get things done during business hours. Schedule important meetings and deal closings around it.
This week is dominated by two enthusiastic and expansive connections. First the annual meet-up of the Sun with jolly Jupiter happens on the 19th and makes everything feel oh so good. This is especially true if you were born around the 19th of June, and I hope you Geminis are enjoying the potential comfort, expansion and luck that often accompanies a transit (Jupiter conjunct the natal Sun) that happens every 12 years. The second aspect is a meet-up between Mercury and Venus in Cancer which suggests a certain idealistic outlook and/or spin on issues involving emotional/homeland security, family, foundation, Mom and apple pie. Watch the news for those kinds of stories.
