Astro-logical Forecast for Monday 4/18/2011

Happy Monday, happy Full Moon hangover and happy Passover, for those that are celebrating. Let’s see what made the news as anticipated over the weekend. Wacky weather? Yep, killer tornadoes from Oklahoma to North Carolina…and some pretty intense storms up her in New York. Thanks to astrologer Richard Nolle, whose work and writing over the years have taught me the impact of Super Moons on weather patterns. War on women? Certainly women in Yemen were upset over remarks made by their president…so much so that they took to the streets in protest http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2011/apr/17/yemeni-women-protest-against-president-saleh  Then there was this uplifting story about toxins injected into oil wells by oil companies, which now raise the concern that these toxins will contaminate water resources http://www.nytimes.com/2011/04/17/science/earth/17gas.html?hp This story comes courtesy of Neptune (refers to water, oil, poisons) recently entering the sign of Pisces, the sign it rules, where it will hopefully raise our awareness of these environmental concerns so we can take constructive action. Stories about water shortages and pollution are not new, but planetary patterns suggest that are likely to be seen more frequently — and make greater impact — over the next 14 years. And oh — here’s another Neptunian oil-toxin story that just came over the wire “Mystery Illnesses Plague Louisiana Spill Crews”  http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20110417/ts_alt_afp/usoilpollutionenvironmentbphealth

Today’s aspects are not especially tolerant of frivolity. Moon entered moody bastard Scorpio (not to be confused with moody bastard Pisces) at 2:19AM EDT, where it could well spend great chunks of time churning with emotion buried deep beneath the surface, while maintaining a convincing mask of detached calm. We may see continued frustration as a result of someone’s militant stance. For those who dare, we may also see some battering ram (Mars in Aries) breakthroughs in civil discourse, justice and fairness (Saturn in Libra), such as news of a bill passed in California requiring the teaching of gay rights and history in schools http://www.telegraph.co.uk/education/educationnews/8454857/California-set-to-teach-gay-history-and-rights-in-schools.html

Temper your words and actions today with depth, substance and integrity.

Astro-logical Forecast for Wednesday 9/29/2010

Weird weather aside, we can look forward to another day of information gathering and disseminating — hopefully with a focus that becomes ever clearer as the day progresses. And by “weird weather” (please see my forecast for yesterday), I mean floods in Wisconsin, 100+ degree heat in LA and a tornado watch (!!!) in New York, which fortunately was much ado about nothing But we’re not out of the woods yet, weather-wise — so be prepared, wherever you may be.

Meanwhile, the annual meet-up between controlling Saturn and Sun (our life energy) on Thursday will likely hit those celebrating birthdays between now and October 1st with greater impact. Add to this list Aries born around March 30, Cancers born around June 30 and Capricorns born around December 30. Maybe your energy is a little low; maybe you’re feeling a little pinched, restricted — it’s all in an effort by the Universe to get you focused on what really matters — so that you will get back on track with ease once this moment passes. Just ask Jimmy Carter, who was flying all over the place on a book tour and now finds himself spending the night in a hospital with an upset stomach. President Carter was born October 1st — this Sun-Saturn hook-up is happening in his 12th house — which often relates to illnesses. President Carter needs to slow down — and so might you, if you’re born on any of the dates mentioned above. This, too, shall pass.

Astro-logical Forecast for Thursday 9/2/2010

Today’s Moon — still in Gemini — makes lovely connections to Mars (action), Venus (social expression) and Neptune (imagination). It’s a good day to put yourself out there and see the best in people. Meetings and social gatherings of all kinds are favored…especially those involved with art, music, spirituality and/or service.

A postscript to yesterday’s post about those born with Moon in Gemini: they like words. A lot. Perhaps this explains why President Obama had all those words stitched into the border of the new rug in the Oval Office…

At 2:50AM Friday the Moon will move into watery Cancer, buffeted through the morning by the heavies in the Big T-Square Party (see forecast for 7/27/2010). Could be wet and wild, especially if you’re a hurricane about to hit land, which is a possibility here on the East Coast as we keep an eye on Hurricane Earl. Then again, what if everyone on the planet visualized that storm system moving off the coast and doing no damage at all? Think we could collectively create that reality?
